Science-Fiction or Reality… Human Evolution or Revolution?

In our article Genetic Mutation – Mega Meltdown of the Human Race we reported that the ongoing DNA degeneration of the human race would eventually lead to the total extinction of humanity.

Scientists know about this problem and things are going to change.

With technology progressing at hyper speed and we are just getting started, fiction is becoming reality.

The next step in human evolution?

Transhumanity: Superhuman powers and life extension technologies will allow us to become like God. New technologies that will change human civilization as we know it.

A scenario of the future! Unfortunately this may be prophecy that looks like Sci-Fi to us at this moment in time, but reality in the future! Where are technologies heading in the next 30 years?

Computers and Robots

By 2029 computer will exhibit intelligent behaviour equivalent to that of a human and that by 2045 computers will be a billion times more powerful than all of the human brains on Earth.

Smartphone-like device that can test vitals like cholesterol, blood pressure, heart rate or allergies, analyze your DNA for genetic risks, diagnose medical conditions, and predict potential diseases or the likelihood of a stroke.

Google is working on an AI. This omniscient AI (Artificial Intelligence) will eventually become people's first source of knowledge, replacing schools, books and even human interactions. Once AI reaches the same level of intelligence as a human brain, or exceeds it, intelligent robots will be able to do a majority of human jobs.

Driverless cars, could be introduced as early as 2016, and could become the dominant form of vehicles in developed countries by 2025. Robo-Taxis are coming soon and could in time replace human taxi drivers. All cars and trains will eventually be entirely driven by computers.

The Internet of Things will connect all the electric and electronic devices in the world and optimally manage energy supply through a smart-grid known as the Enernet, expected to become a reality around 2030.

By 2050, technologies advancing at “Moore’s Law” speeds have produced an android-like creature nearly indiscernible from a human. The human-like androids start walking the streets among us and working for us.

Programmed with Internet-downloaded software, 2050s household robots cater to our every whim. They also manage the nanorobots that whiz through our veins keeping us healthy 24/7, Computers will soon surpass humans in creativity. The other advances in robotics, AI, 3-D printing and nanotechnologies all converge in the field of bioengineering.

Human Cyborgs aren't science-fiction anymore

There are artificial hands with real feeling controlled directly by the brain.

Lizard regrow their tails. Using organ culture, stem cells can regrow any organ as fresh as new through. In the future it will be possible to regrow limbs or organs directly on a person, as if the body was simply healing itself.

Robotic exoskeletons ( A so-called gecko suit) enables humans to climb buildings like Spiderman.

Genetically enhanced humans

Gene therapy, allow to fix any disease-causing gene and to engineer humans that are better adapated to the modern nutrition, life rythmn, and technology-dominated lifestyle. Humans will also become more resistant to stress, fatigue and allergens, and could choose to boost their potential mental faculties and physical abilities, creating "superhumans". This is known as transhumanism.

Your dreams can be controlled by electrically stimulating your brain applying an electrical current to your brain not only boosts your cognitive powers, but it can also help you obtain the mystical ability of lucid dreaming, where you can control the plot and outcome of your dreams.

Some people who don’t like the idea of a limited lifespan, so you have the prospect of being able to take your brain and recode it and jump into a computer and live for 1,000 years instead of 100.

An artificial memory system that allows thoughts, memories and learned behavior to be transferred from one brain to another. Implanted electrodes can literally reboot brain circuits involved with the mood disorder. Would you like to have your brain “rebooted” by a chip inside your head?

We are on the verge of developing telepathic abilities. Placing microchips on the brains of two individuals, then connecting them with one another through the internet, one person can hear what the other hears directly in their brains.

Neural prostheses could be used in a near future to repair various types of brain damages in human beings.

Microchips implanted into the brain can restore vision in blind people and hearing in deaf people. Soon such chips will allow bionic humans to see and hear better than humans in their natural state.

Brain chip that, if implanted, can recover lost memory should a brain injury occur.

Brain implants that connect us directly to the Internet…In the future, the minds of most people could potentially be connected to the Internet 24 hours a day. Imagine sending an email or answering your phone by just thinking about it.

Soon, we might interact with our smartphones and computers simply by using our minds.

In a couple of years, we could be turning on the lights at home just by thinking about it, or sending an e-mail from our smartphone without even pulling the device from our pocket.

End for mankind?

Artificial intelligence 'could be the worst thing to happen to humanity': Stephen Hawking warns that rise of robots may be disastrous for mankind.

Artificial Intelligence, disguised as helpful digital assistants and self-driving vehicles, is gaining a foothold – and it could one day spell the end for mankind.

This is according to Stephen Hawking who has warned that humanity faces an uncertain future as technology learns to think for itself and adapt to its environment.

But Professor Hawking notes that other potential benefits of this technology could also be significant, with the potential to eradicate, war, disease and poverty.

‘Success in creating AI would be the biggest event in human history,’ he said. ‘Unfortunately, it might also be the last, unless we learn how to avoid the risks.’

All these advances in bioengineering, genetics, robotics and 3-D printing are barely the what is being developed now and will become available to us within the next decade (horizon 2025).

This isn't the singularity yet.

The “Singularity”: That is the moment (The singularity has been reached, in 25 to 40 years) when artificial intelligence will actually surpass human intelligence and a massive technological chain reaction will be triggered. That biological intelligence will merge with non-biological intelligence and humanity will become vastly more intelligent than it is today.

If you could merge your current mind and body with technology that would give you superhuman powers and would allow you to live forever, would you do it? Or you comes as a man or woman and you die as a man or woman?
