2.5m wide sinkhole-like vortex appears in Lake Texoma, Oklahoma (Video)

A huge vortex resembling a water sink hole has appeared in Oklahoma’s Lake Texoma and caused water levels to drop.

The video below released by the Tulsa division of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) shows the ‘intake vortex’ which they reported to be “8 feet in diameter and capable of sucking in a full-sized boat”.

According to the Lake’s Manager, Joe Custer, the vortex was caused by the huge amount of water being released through two hydropower generators and floodgates.
