Amazing UFO over Santee, California - May 23, 2013

SANTEE, San Diego, Calif. - 10News went looking for answers after a local woman snapped photos of an unidentified object flying over Santee.

Ellen Henry told 10News her camera stopped working after snapping photos at a historical barn.

Henry said she is convinced that whatever she saw hovering over Santee's Edgmoore Barn is not from this world. She did not want to show her face on camera because she said she was still spooked by what she captured.

"I was like what was it doing there," said Henry. "Why was it there? What was it doing? And I said, the next time I come here, the barn will be beamed up."

The barn sits under several flight paths. 10News contacted Gillespie Field and MCAS Miramar, but neither could offer an explanation:

Some say what flew overhead is not out of the ordinary because of what has been reported around the barn.

"We think someone's come into the barn and we get up to look, and no one is there," said Elaine Murphy, president of the Santee Historical Society.

The group, which oversees the barn-turned-museum, said the property used to be part of a poor farm and hospital grounds. It also draws paranormal investigators because of reported ghost sightings.

Some residents are weighing in on the idea of a UFO hovering over a haunted barn.

"Oh yeah, I do believe we are not alone out here, that's for sure," said one resident.

10News checked with the National UFO Reporting Center and found that only one UFO sighting has been reported in San Diego during the month of May.

  1. Aliens are all over the Earth. They come here to enjoy the natural beauty. They also collect things from the Earth. They need to collect water. Mars is a dry place and they take water to Mars all the time. Maybe they take water to other planets as well. They have a greater technology then we do. Also our government has friendly Alien spots that are declared private property where they can come to and not be hassled by just anyone.

  2. Hey Anonymous, come on give us a different name, there's like 5 anonymous's on here.
You make a good point, I think water is like gold, it's such a precious ingredient that I guess "aliens" also need, for their own use or to sustain other lifeforms. Maybe they do come here for water and other materials, Earth is so rich! This is a good but also bad thing, do we hold material that opens us up to invasion if the government suddenly shuts the doors to access our atmosphere? That's far out I know so maybe more fictional but still a thought. Then on the other side these aliens could be our creators, so they have full rights to do what they want.

    1. sorry, No. water is among the most Common elements in the universe, Not the rarest. it is difficult to maintain its integrity in certain environments, that what makes people think its rare.
There is water in the desert, but its evaporated and in the air, for example.
Best caught in the morning as dew forms.
Gass giants have all the elements needed to make water. ice in Saturn rings.
      etc etc.
Hydrogen and raw oxygen Make water. H-2-O.
Every thing we have here is star stuff, made in the heart of dying stars. and there is More of it out there.
They do Not need to come here for the majority of resources.
Gold maybe. Mercury too. But not even diamonds.
the planet and its ability to sustain life and cultivate new species and evolve is the main resource. Its also a protected planet. We are a reasonably protected species.
If we were not we would already have aliens walking the streets and know well, whom our masters are.
They arent allowed to mess with us as a whole, openly and directly.
      Similar to a Prime Directive.
      they Are our creators.
But that doesnt give all of them rights to do just Any thing they want.
This is a seed world, protected by many cultures and nations out there.
we fall under a great deal of that protection.
      But there are loop holes.
manipulation of our free will. Side with and influence Illuminati, to gain covert control over decades centuries and millenia.

      Geez, I could go on.

    2. The distinction should be made between "liquid" water being rare as opposed to solid, gaseous and ionized forms.

  3. Var, you jumped in, it is like gold dust as it is here on Earth in a state of water vapour and not just as gas, that is a rare thing in our immediate universe.

    1. im not sure I understand the context you are using here.
What I am saying is, Water, is an Easy item in the universe to come across, and, in far greater quantities than it is here.

Any science fictions stating it is rare, like on shows like the original V, are just that.... Fiction.

  7. I would say it is a helium filled mylar birthday, graduation (most likely), or congratulations baloon, that someone lost while trying to get it into his/her vehicle.
The lady's camera stopped working perhaps because: 1. the battery died, or it needed maintenance, certainly not because she took a picture of this object. Those in control of an alien object, who did not want its picture taken would have prevented the photo taking, period.
