Huge Meteor Streak at Neumayer Lit Up by the Moon - Dec 11, 2013

There is a huge meteor streak, in the Northeast, at Neumayer Station, in Antarctica; which is lit up by the moon.

There are several streaks shown in the sky, that evening. The date is December 10, 2013. The Geminid meteor showers will appear in the northern hemisphere, mostly, peaking on the 13th and 14th of this month.

Well north of the equator, the radiant rises about sunset, reaching a usable elevation from the local evening hours onwards. In the southern hemisphere, the radiant appears only around local midnight or so. Because this was local 3:30 A.M.

It is doubtful it could be the Geminids, which are not usually viewed in the southern hemisphere.
