Mysterious 15ft long Sea Creature "The Ainsdale Anomaly" washes ashore in England

A stinking 15-feet long sea creature that’s been compared to a washed-up mammoth and an alien has left locals mystified after turning up on a British beach.

The creature, which has been dubbed the Ainsdale Anomaly, was spotted on the Merseyside beach on Wednesday and has had people puzzled since

“It’s very bizarre,” said one man. “It’s like a mishmash of different things in one. “It’s 15 feet long, it has flippers, it’s furry and it seems to have another creature attached, possibly via an umbilical cord, so it could have been giving birth. “It was almost like a whale that had eaten a horse that had eaten a dolphin.”

An official from Natural England had been down to inspect the remains, but was unable to move them alone. When photos of the creature were shared online, people guessed that it was once a walrus, a whale, a cow, a horse, and a donkey – among other stranger suggestions.

According to PenNews, experts believe the creature is in fact the decayed remains of a cetacean, a grouping of animals that includes whales, dolphins and porpoises.

Marine biologist Jack Thomson, a lecturer at the University of Liverpool, examined images of the creature and could see why people thought of equine species.

“I have to admit this is a tough one,” he said. “Initially I thought it may have been a horse as there are some parts which seem very hoof-like, however, given its size – I've seen a report saying it’s approximately 15ft long – and some of the features resemblance to a skull, it is probably is a cetacean of some sort.”

in addition to the strange creature on the beach in England, this year, several other weird sea creatures have already washed up on beaches around the world.

Like a bizarre eye-less sea creature that had washed ashore on the Pacific coast beach of Destiladeras, Mexico - the sizeable remains of a mysterious sea creature that washed up on a Scottish beach during Storm Ciara and a creature that had washed ashore in South Carolina.
